Fleadh by the Feale is one of the most successful traditional festivals in the region, attracting traditional music lovers from all over Ireland and further afield.

The primary focus of the weekend is traditional music, song and dance. The festival is built around the master workshops and competitions and the richness of the traditional talent in the area. These workshops are designed to improve the technique and skill of the musicians and give participants an insight into different styles of music from different parts of the country.

Outdoor activities include street busking, Traditional entertainment and the all-Ireland bone playing competition.

The pub trail is an important part of the weekend attracting the cream of traditional musicians who delight and entertain their audiences.
The highlight of the festival has to be the Sunday traditional concert. In the early years the tutors and a host of local musicians gathered for the concert. In recent years international performing groups such as: Dervish 1997, Altan 1998, four men and a dog 1999, At the Racket plus Jackie Daly, Maura O' Keeffe, Paul De Grace, Tony O' Connell, Diarmuid O' Brien and Kevin Murphy 2000 and Dervish, Planxty O' Rourke in 2001and Danu in 2002 have graced the stage.
Other related evens include, a children's art competition and exhibition along with lectures with a local history and cultural theme.
