The Festival of World Cultures is Ireland's leading intercultural festival - a dazzling weekend of internationally renowned acts and local talent - music, film, circus, theatre, dance, club nights, markets, exhibitions, workshops and children's activities... a vibrant carnival atmosphere is guaranteed.

The Festival of World Cultures moves into its fifth year with a geographical expansion and a greater and more diverse programme of events, featuring artists from over 30 countries.

This year's key development is the relocation of the main live music stage from the Harbour Plaza - now the World Dance Plaza - to the stunning coastal green of Newtownsmith; situated between the People's Park and Sandycove. In addition to a programme of live music, dance, workshops, fairs and markets, the Festival will present an International film programme, DJ Project, Panel Discussion and an Artist in Residence.
